Bloom and Blossom products are made using only the finest natural botanicals, and the highest levels of active ingredients to deliver exceptional results. In 2010, their products were launched nationwide at Space NK and in 2012, Blossom and Bloom won the Cosmetic Executive Women award for Best New Brand: Prestige; A first for any maternity line. A list fans include Victoria Beckham, The Duchess of Cambridge and Kate Winslet.
With five children between them, we are glad to have Julia included in this Mother’s Day series.
What would you say the most valuable lesson you learned from your mother either about life or on motherhood? Believe in yourself. From such a young age we were taught to believe you can do anything if you put your mind to it and work hard – a great philosophy to carry through life and pass down to our children.
What has been the most amazing thing about motherhood and also the most surprising? I look at my children sometimes and I can’t believe they are mine, they are my responsibility and that I brought them in to this world – it is just incredible the love you feel for them, something that you can’t put into words. The most surprising thing about motherhood is the fact that you can actually function (not particularly well) on not much sleep! We used to need so much sleep, but now (as we don’t get any) we still function, get through the day and multi task like us women do.
What does the perfect Mother’s day look like to you? Cup of tea being brought to me in bed, kisses and hugs from my kids, and the day spent together. Throw in some tulips, a pain au chocolate and a glass of red and you have perfection.
