A good diary is an essential at the start of the year. I find especially as one gets older, and the responsibilities of life increase, a functional planner is required for effective time and life management. Here are some 2015 diaries that have caught our fancy.
1. Smythson: The specialty leather goods company make very beautiful diaries and organisers with options suited to various preferences. From the Portobello diary, to the Panama and then the Fashion Day per page diary. You are basically spoilt for choice in deciding what diary to purchase.
2. Aspinal of London: The London based leather goods company also offer an assortment of yearly diaries. Our current favourite is the Navy A5 week to view diary in Lizard. At £75 it comes cheaper than the Mara week to view at Smythson. With this you get great quality for a great price.
3.Moleskin: I had all but given up on planners and agendas until I came across the Weekly Notebook Planner/Diary by Moleskin. As a dedicated list maker I found that traditional month to view agendas sadly did not work for me. as much as I wanted them to, they were basically almost completely useless to me. I am naturally able to organise my days with a daily to do which I write in the notebook I always have with me and appointments, meetings etc I enter into my calendar on the iphone. In 2012, I bought the 18 month Kate Spade planner and sadly it has barely been used. List writing in my notebook just works better for me , I guess list makers are gon’ list really! This Moleskin is perfect for people like me. With a week to view page on the left, the moleskin weekly notebook also includes a ruled page on the right for notes -perfect for list makers like myself.
4.The Day Designer: Designed by Whitney English, the day designer has been said to be more than an ordinary planner, it’s a life organiser customisable to suit your lifestyle. It basically consists of the daily planning page, featuring four key components: space for your top-three to-dos, a running to-do list, a robust schedule section, and a spot to record a daily gratitude. I am keen to try it out the mini day designer and will do a review. Interested UK customers can purchase them online on Fraser&Parsley.
5. Erin Condren: The original life planner, Erin Condren is a dream come true for extreme type A planners. The OCD type that has every single thing scheduled almost decades in advance, yes! This was made just for them. If that’s you, feel free to thank us after reading this. This is exactly what you have been looking for your whole life. Erin Condren planners can also be personalised with your name on the cover and other life’s commitment pre scheduled in its pages.
